Amazonite
Amazonite is a pastel green stone. It remains timeless despite its passage through the ages.
Origin
Amazonite takes its name from a South American region saturated with moisture, its primary source being in a much more arid region, the Sahara Desert. Extracted mainly in Libya, this stone has often been confused with emerald or turquoise, its slight silvery sheen being its main difference.
Composition
Amazonite belongs to the group of potassium feldspars. It contains silica, iron oxides and lime. Its hardness is around 6.5 on the Mohs scale.
Worthy
The virtues of this stone would be numerous, both for the body and for the mind. It is even considered one of the most virtuous stones.
Representing truth and courage, its ability to dispel negative energies would ensure clarity of mind. It would promote cell regeneration and activate the healing of wounds. It would make it easier to face the judgment of others while strengthening empathy and the ability to listen.
